I’ve finally found some time to upload some new photos from this year, and dug out some old gems from the previous one such as Grandmaster Flash at the Forum (taken with my crappy phone).

I’m currently in the process off auctioning off most of my old toys (Star Wars, Transformers etc) as collectibles (those were new when I was a kid.. makes you feel old) and really I enjoy it. I don’t know what it is I really like though. The idea of making a few bucks? Giving other people the joy of stuff I’d forgotten I had? The workings of the online economy?

No. Not really. None of the above.

I just like to have a good excuse to bring out all my photo equipment and play studio when taking the photos for the auction descriptions.

Emma and I exchanged a few cute SMS messages today.. receive, reply, receive, reply etc.. very nice, but nothing extraordinary about that. Nothing at all. Really.

..If it wasn’t for the fact that she’s in Ushuaia at the moment, the southernmost city in the world and thus bloody far from Sweden.

Amazon regularly email me with usually interesting and tempting suggestions on books to buy. A good use of datamining. Today the mail recommended “Learning GNU Emacs, Third Edition“..

I take offense.

I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time at airports the last couple of weeks.. which means I’ve been subjected to the organized stupidity called “airport security” which only serves the purpose of providing a civilian work environment for people that like to excuse themselves with “I was just following orders”. Out of all the retarded behavior I rank the comment made by a guard at Stockholm Airport a clear winner. This is what he told me after I passed through the metal detector without a single metallic item and it still indicated me being a terrorist carrying metal:

“- Dont worry, it randomly indicates every tenth person.”

..I sincerely doubt that mankind, even in its most perverted state, will ever produce a society where that makes sense..

Sorry for the silence both here and on mail, I’ve spent the past week catching up with Emma away from computers. In an hour I’ll be leaving for Stockholm to visit Emma’s parents so I’ll be off another week.

About a month ago I dropped off my girlfriend at Tullamarine Airport in Melbourne, in an hour I’ll be picking her up at Sturup Airport at the other side of the world. Closing the circle.. (and doing it with a ridiculously big smile).

..magi. Brukar inte vanliga helger i Västra Götaland involvera alkohol?.. och hur relaterar man “Ungefär som” och “mycket mycket mer”? En press sekreterare kanske hade varit en klok investering.
