Sorry for the long downtime.. The past weeks have been filled with coursework at uni for 7 days a week to make all dealines. As of friday however, I’ve had my last lecture for the semester and all the assignments are handed in. My schedule is now blank until June 13 when I have my first exam (blank is a bit of an overstatement given that studying for exams will take all that time).

In a few hours I’ll be handing in my paper on the Chameleon Fault Tolerant Infrastructure after many hours of hard work during the past few days. The paper is available here for those interested. I’ll blog a bit more about it tomorrow, right now I need sleep.. badly.

Today has been an interesting day in many ways.. I stayed up late working on the assignment in Decision Support Systems which was due this morning. When leaving campus at around 3AM I decided to walk, since I’d been sitting in front of a computer for 12-14 hours straight I could do with some fresh air (it’s only about a 3km walk). Around halfway I notice a guy following me. A few blocks further I noticed that he was covering his face with a scarf and hood.. and he was keeping up with my pace (I had increased since first seeing him). This was when I decided to play safe and flag down the next cab since I had my computer in the backpack with my non-backuped assignment due for monday. I got back to campus after 3 hours of sleep and we handed in the assignment with 15 minutes to spare on the deadline..

In the afternoon my friends celebrated my birthday with candles, singing and presents at our local coffeshop at campus (Charlies).. precisely what I needed after a week filled with work and lack of sleep. Especially since the weekend probably will be exclusively spent writing a researchpaper due monday morning..

A lot of things change dramatically when you move across the globe, other stay just the same.. you still have to sit up all night the day before assignment deadlines for example. There are such things as universal truths.

No, as a matter of fact I currently dont have anything fun to report or write about.. there are clouds at the horizon.
