Today marks the end of 2004, in just a few hours it will be 2005. This really hasn’t been my year and hopefully 2005 will be an improvement, time will tell. Happy New Year Friends! Thanks for being there for me the past year..

Donate money to the Tsunami Victims!

Paint it black

Disaster struck the sunny beaches of Asia this sunday and according to the latest new, about 50 000 people may have lost their lives. Words can’t describe the pain.. and yet, while the foreign aid is mobilized, we must not forget that this disaster occurs every day around the world. Thousands of children die every day because of dirty water, malnutition and voilence in the third world countries. They are not rich tourists, they dont have white skin, they are innocent victims of our exploitation. All life is of equal value, all death of equal pain.

If you can read this you are among the privileged in this world, you have more than you need. Now go and donate money to help the needy and keep the donations coming, don’t be a cheap bastard!Rädda Barnen : Röda Korset : Cancerfonden : SOS Barnbyar

Things are somewhat returning to normal as the christmas frenzy wears off. My plan was to work on my essay all day but unable to find any inspiration I spent most of the day chilling with Stille and Calle instead. Late tonight though I stumbled upon the Hacker Manifesto which as always inspired me to hack. This was exactly what I needed and I ended up actually doing some work on the essay after all. The Hacker Manifesto is as close to religion as I get..

On year till next time

Christmas is over for this time, just a few more weeks and it should be safe to visit even a shoppingmall. I had a very pleasant christmas this year, we’ve downscaled the procedure in my family which makes it bearable. Christmas also contain my once-a-year visit to church for the choire concert at midnight. It would have been a great concert if the priestess wouldn’t have made her speech. She started off with discussing the insecurities of today life, so far so good. When she came to the scapegoat though, it all fell apart, of course it was the Sept.9/11 attacks that were to blame.. oh yes, big bad muslims attacking innocent (white) christians.. I have no problem with condemning terrorists (whatever their cause) but I do have problems with people that fail to see the entire picture. If you consider the world leading up to Sept.9/11 a nice and pleasant place, you have a lot of blood on your conscience.. Never Forget..

Santa around the corner

My stomach hates me and would probably divorce me if it could. I just came back from a christmas dinner at St.Markus Vinkällare with the Bokks crew which was extremely nice, great (and a lot of) food and nice people. This was the third christmas dinner this year so far which is a shitload of them considering that I sincerely dislike christmas.. odd. I also spoke to La Trobe University today and got my admission confirmed, my australian tour is now at a point of no return. I wonder when I am to realize what I’m getting myself into..

Positive vibrations

This weekend was precisely what I needed, a clean break. This friday was the last day of the semester which ended with a clean sweep for me, five down and one to go! Me and a few of my school homeboys went out for beers and did some bowling which of course led to the usual suspects of crazy activities. The ball of joy kept rolling on saturday which was spent eating a mindblowingly good dinner at Hai, Malmoe’s best japanase restaurant without a doubt. The weekend went down in style on sunday when Stina Superstar came by on a surprisevisit. To top it all off, I spent sunday night finishing off my acceptance of my admission to La Trobe University.. Freshness all around!

Slow Updating

Thursday, December 16th, 2004

Shit has been severely piled up lately and the updates here has been neglected, among with a lot of other things =(, getting away from it all seems more and more like a great idea. Along with neglecting in comparison unimportant stuff like this site, I’ve been neglecting the people that mean a lot to me.. I don’t know why I always get so introvert when the shit is hitting the fan, perhaps I assume too much responsibility for cleaning up the mess? Having equal social skills with a rusted trashcan in a backalley is a pain, my social life is a loose-loose situation.

There are a few dots of light in the end of the creative tunnel though. I’ve done a few canvases, a t-shirt and a shitload of stickers. One of the canvases has been added to the gallery, the others will follow when I get access to a digicam again. My B.Sc essay is also taking form nicely, I’ll soon post a WIP preview here for those of you interested. On the 8bit side, theres a game featuring my graphics that probably will hit the shelves any day now which will be extremely cool. If only all things we’re as easy as picking up a marker and tearing it up..

Blame it all on me

Tonight saw an interesting boardmeeting in the tenantowners association in which I’m a member of the board. Seeing adults behave like spoilt kids is appalling. While on the subject, the projectleader hired for the project assignment at school is a total disaster which lacks all the necessary skillz to head a project like ours.. seems like I have to step up and take on a much larger role than intended due to other peoples ignorance.. why does this always happen to me? The fact that I often feel ten years older than people simetime old enough to be my parents scare me, is growing up really that difficult? I for one should know considering the amount of rough patches I’ve been through during the years..

Spent the weekend hacking on a small RTOS called SimpleOS and added Priority Ceiling Protocol to the semaphores and tried to work on my essay although I didn’t get much done.. as usual. Time to get busy..
